Enterprise Account Executive

Lob is building a suite of APIs for the enterprise. Our most popular API is our print and mail API that enables companies to send physical mail as effortlessly as email. We are growing our customer base and product offerings quickly and are looking for talented sales professionals to join our Sales Team. As an early member of this team, you will play a key role in building our customer base, defining our sales strategy, driving revenue growth for the company, and working on the front lines evangelizing our product to prospective users.

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to generate and close sales for Lob’s APIs to drive recurring revenue. This is a quota carrying sales position. This role will be responsible  for building a sales pipeline from qualified leads, managing enterprise relationships, and contributing to the strategic direction and execution of Lob’s overall sales efforts. You will manage the sales cycle, negotiate pricing, and close deals to exceed annual targets.  This role is the primary contact for prospective customers and acts as a trusted advisor for them.

You should have experience identifying problems and suggesting solutions, as well as building relationships over the phone and locating key decision makers within prospective accounts. In this role, you will need to effectively communicate across multiple departments and customers, have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, and endure the challenge of cultivating new business relationships and closing deals.

  • Close revenue and exceed an annual quota
  • Sell and advise customers on how an API can solve their immediate problems in a consultative manner
  • Build and cultivate business relationships with customers and partners
  • Organize and diligently record information about each customer in Salesforce
  • Manage opportunities and spend time prospecting larger deals to increase pipeline
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas including product
  • Create and build sales collateral (demos, case studies, etc.) required for all aspects of the sales cycle
  • Reduce churn by ensuring customer satisfaction and API usage/integration


  • At least 4 years of previous experience selling developer or marketing tools to enterprises
  • Understanding of APIs and previous expertise implementing SaaS/IaaS software
  • Ability to create great relationships with highly technical customers.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills both with customers and within an organization.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently improving month-to-month performance and exceeding quota
  • Hungry and performance driven
  • Have a strong interest in technology and ideally prior experience with APIs.
  • Extremely organized and persistent: never miss a follow up.
  • Strong track record of identifying customer needs and successfully implementing solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously at various stages of the onboarding process.
  • Proficient at differentiating products particularly with respect to other competitive offerings.
  • Comfortable and willing to be a hands-on contributor.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
