Lowering Pricing on Simple Check Service

Back in November 2013, we took our Simple Check Service out of Beta. Since then, we have continued to see great adoption of this product with over $7 million worth of payments sent via our API to date. Today we are hoping to make this product even more accessible by lowering our on-demand price from $2.25 to $2.00 per check printed & mailed.

Following our Virtuous Cycle philosophy, we are always monitoring our volume and pricing across our product set. We hope to pass any cost savings to our customers in the form of price cuts. In February of this year, we announced our first round of price cuts across our products. Today seems like a good day to follow up with another reduction on our check payment API.

Keep in mind that this is just the on-demand price, which offers flexibility for customers that only need to print a few checks or cannot gauge their volume needs accurately. As always, if you do have a need to print larger volumes of checks, we offer Reserved Pricing for all of our products which can save you a significant amount of money on your API usage with Lob. The Roadmap

When it comes to having checks printed and mailed, we have experienced the pains of finding an easy-to-use check print & mail service that provides 100% flexibility and on-demand access & pricing. Unlike other providers, our API is entirely free to use and integrate. We have wrappers in an array of languages on our Github to make our API widely consumable for developers. There are no set-up fees or commitments. We also provide a sandbox environment for you to run test jobs before you go into production.

In the future, we hope to make this product even better based on the feedback we get from you. This will include adding features such as expedited delivery, custom branding, letter insertion, and other requested features. These features will be rolled out slowly but surely as to ensure a great user experience.
